Getting Around: Car Rentals, Taxis, Buses

Taxis

Taxis are available at the airport, and are not hard to find once you get to your destination.  Fares will run anywhere from $9.70 to $94.90, depending on where you are going.

Kauai Buses

Kauai has a public bus system that runs around the whole island, and they have recently added stops at the airport.  For bus stops and schedules, go to: Bus Schedules or call 808-241-6410.  The fare is $1.50 or you can buy a monthly pass for $15.00 if you are planning on only taking the bus during your vacation.  The bus service is limited, but is the most economical way to go!  HOWEVER, this will only be useful as transportation from the airport to your hotel if you packed very lightly, large bags and suitcases are not allowed on the bus.

Car Rentals
